Who is Rebecca Snow?
Rebecca Snow, MS, CNS, RH (AHG)
Rebecca Snow is a licensed nutritionist and a clinical herbalist. Her passion for plants and foods as medicine, sparked in 1997, led her to work at Smile Herb Shop and study at the Dreamtime Center for Herbal Studies with herbalists Kathleen Maier, Teresa Boardwine, Matthew Wood, and Stephen Buhner. Later, Rebecca joined the first class of students at the Tai Sophia Institute's Herbal Medicine Program (www.tai.edu). Upon graduation, she was presented the Herbert C. Brown Award for service to the school.
After acquiring her Master of Science Degree in Herbal Medicine, Rebecca practiced for 4.5 years in an integrative medical office in Rockville, MD. Through this experience, she gained a wealth of knowledge of complex health concerns. As of September 2008, Her journey brings her back to Tai Sophia as a practitioner of the Clinical Services Center; she sees clients at three of the clinic sites in the Baltimore-Washington area. Rebecca loves teaching and empowering people to make positive changes in their life with herbs and healing foods.
She is a Certified Nutritional Specialist through the American College of Nutrition (www.amcollnutr.org), a licensed nutritionist in the State of Maryland, a registered herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild (www.americanherbalist.com), and a member of United Plant Savers (www.unitedplantsavers.com).
Rebecca has enjoyed the honor of lecturing for Goucher College, Johns Hopkins University, University of Pennsylvania's Presbyterian Medical Center, WC Grace & Co, Choice Hotels International, Ryderwood Village, and the Baltimore Herb Festival. Rebecca serves as an assistant faculty member at the Tai Sophia Institute and teaches Herbs 101 and Nutrition 101 to the community.
More recently, Rebecca enjoyed a week-long preceptorship through ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) preceptorship program and spoke on the use of herbs in Chronic Lyme Disease at the AHG's 18th Annual Symposium.
